TALL PINES ENTERTAINMENT is a full-service production company specializing in discovering, developing and funding independent films and series. Founded in 2017 by Mike Hassan to capitalize on projects he’s produced, it has become synonymous with low to middle budget horror films, thrillers and talent-driven comedies.
Through predecessor companies, Mike has been involved with one of the defining horror movies of the genre, Eli Roth’s CABIN FEVER as well as its sequels and worked with Michael Mailer’s company in producing A LITTLE GAME, described as the inspirational family film, which some say, inspired the successful Netflix series, A QUEENS GAMBIT, starring Anya Taylor Joy.
Tall Pines achieved immediate success with its first venture, the incredibly hilarious SUPER TROOPERS II, with Mike serving as executive producer. Subsequently, Tall Pines has served as an industry consultant and advisor and currently works with the Woodstock Film Festival in assisting in the development of projects created by undiscovered talent.

In the past year, Tall Pines was fortunate enough to become associated with two talented filmmakers, director Sylvia Caminer and screenwriter/actor, Dani Barker, and is proud to present their movie FOLLOW HER, described as a gloriously gripping and ferociously sexy, psychological thriller. FOLLOW HER is in the process of concluding its successful festival run where it received numerous Best Feature wins (Popcorn Frights, AFMX, Sinistro, etc), as well as awards for Best Director (Vancouver Horror Show), Best Actress (FilmQuest), Best Editing and Audience Award (Austin, Fantasporto & Grossman).
With a close working relationship, Tall Pines is currently working with Sylvia on future projects and is proud to announce its association with Dani Barker, who has agreed to serve as CEO of the company.
